Terms of service

These terms govern the use of CoreCorpus, the scientific-article management and curation software developed and distributed by CoreCorpus. By purchasing and using CoreCorpus, you accept the terms described below.

1. What CoreCorpus is

CoreCorpus is a program you download and install on your computer and that runs locally: your library, your searches, and your documents never leave your machine toward our servers or any third party. It is not a cloud-hosted service.

2. License to use

Purchasing CoreCorpus grants you a personal, non-transferable license to install and use the software. This license:

Is for your individual use. Redistributing, reselling, sublicensing, or sharing it with third parties is prohibited, whether for profit or not.
Does not include the right to copy, modify, or distribute the installer or the program's code.
Is forfeited if you share your copy of the installer or your download link with anyone outside your account.

CoreCorpus does not include any remote license-verification mechanism — it does not call our servers to check that it's you using it. We trust you to honor this license because it's part of how we sustain the product's development.

3. Subscription, one-time purchase, and updates

CoreCorpus is offered by subscription (monthly or annual) or as a one-time purchase, depending on the plan you choose. Keeping your subscription active gives you continuous access to new versions, product improvements, and technical support — it's how we sustain CoreCorpus's ongoing development.

4. Payments and billing

Payments are processed through Lemon Squeezy, acting as Merchant of Record — meaning the transaction and invoice are issued by Lemon Squeezy, not directly by CoreCorpus. Their own terms of service also apply to payment processing.

5. Use of AI in support

We use AI tools to help us respond faster when you write to Contact us. No response is sent without a person reviewing it first — there is no AI system replying to you autonomously.

6. No warranty

CoreCorpus is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do our best to keep it working correctly, but we don't guarantee it's free of errors or that it serves a specific purpose beyond what's described in our documentation.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. If the change is significant, we'll let you know by email or inside the application itself.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Colombia. Disputes related to payment processing, billing, or taxes are resolved under Lemon Squeezy's own terms of service, as explained in section 4.
